Chek out this pin-up I did for amazing project called PILGRIM, by goodfellas David Gaffney and Simon Anthony Morris Roy. Here Pilgrim confronts none other than Koschei the Deathless on top of the train in Russia!
Stay tuned for more news about Pilgrim from David and Simon. This project is GREAT!

*Translation from Russian - “Out of my way!”

Artyom knocked this one out of the park! What’s this you ask? It’s a Russian Revolution era Pilgrim story that takes place in the midst of Lenin’s return to Petrograd in 1917. But! first there will be another Pilgrim story way back in the olden days… more on that soon!

Check out Artyom and Steve Orlando’s series Undertow if you haven’t already. It’s bad ass crazy cool!

Oh ya and Simon is still rocking and rolling on Prophet and kicking out some fresh new vibes with gentleman Ed Brisson on the Field. Check it out too.

Also for folks who didn’t know about Pilgrim, I will sell you a digital copy of the intro for 3 bucks if you want and you know you do…. Just email dgaffney (at) gmail (dot) com.

Somethings happening… Books are written… gettin’ ready…

nolan-exe asked: Are there any Pilgrim posters left?

You betcha. Email me and we shall discuss these important matters. As luck would have it I will see Simon this weekend and can even have it autographed.

Making some posters…
They turned out super spiffy. Want one, 5 bucks, we can work out something sweet to get it to you. I wanted to be at ECCC to peddle but had to dump 300 dollars into my goddamn car. Grrrrrr.
Script for new book is written, things are rumbling…

Podastin’ with Daniel Benson. Check it out!
“I’m talking with Simon Roy and David Gaffney about Pilgrim, a story about the Holy Land during the Crusades when all gods are real.
Also group projects, and why this is the time for adventure fiction to come back into the mainstream.”

Here’s a commission I did for Pilgrim Comics

Stefan is a gentleman among savages. I spend too much time thinking about what if PILGRIM really did exist in the past? How would it show up in the culture? I think it would be a totally suitable choice for a van mural. SInce I have the drawing skills of a spastic rhesus monkey I asked Stefan to help. Check him out here as well!
And yes, Simon and I are working on the outline for the first major PILGRIM epic! It promises to be… ummm… epic! More news soon’ish.

IN FULL COLOUR!

Fun fun and “other reasons” I enlisted the esteemed colourist and artist extraordinaire Joseph Bergin, whom you all know, to colour a couple pages. They turned out crazy nice; and that’s saying something considering how tight Simon’s ink-wash was.

Compare and contrast with the originals if you’d like.

Big thanks to David Gaffney and Simon Roy for ordering a Special EVIL Package for the original sketch they requested I draw the two main characters from their new creator owned comic Pilgrim . I happen to be a big fan of the Image comic’s Prophet which Simon Roy works on, so I was very excited to do something based on his own original characters. They were nice enough to send me PDF’s of the first issue they are working on, and I must say it looks amazing. Be sure to buy it when it comes out.
If you’d like to order a copy the Shuster award nominated first issue of EVIL Comics you can send $5 (plus $2 shipping and handling ($4 for outside of North America)) to my PAYPAL account using my email jamesedwardclark@gmail.com
For $20 (plus shipping and handling) I’ll be offering a special EVIL package including a signed copy of EVIL and a original sketch in ink of anything you’d like.
Be sure to include your address with your order and what you would like me to draw for you if you order the special EVIL package.
If your like me and you don’t like paypal you can mail me a check or money at my address:

Gorgeous commission from James Edward Clark. 2 weeks ago we were complete strangers and today James puts this up on his Tumblr, gotta love these internets. I love this piece, it warms my cockles and I am so looking forward to getting his first issue of EVIL. You should buy one too and get him to do something for you, while you’re at it!
